Teen Driver Ed
You can start driver education at 14 years and 6 months of age.
(Beginning Jan 1st 2027 children must be 14 years and 9 months of age to begin their education!)
To receive your permit by age 15 (and under 15 years and 6 months), you must attend a 30-hour driver education course and have a pre-registration code assigned through the state. Students between 15 years and 6 months and 16 years of age are eligible to take the 4-hour Expanded Driver Awareness Class in lieu of the 30-hour class. Students who wish to test for their license before 16 years and 6 months must complete six hours of behind-the-wheel with a certified driving instructor.
- Permit testing is provided only to students who complete a classroom course with us.
- You must hold a VALID Colorado instructional permit to schedule behind-the-wheel driving lessons. We recommend you have at least five-to-ten hours of driving experience before scheduling your first lesson.
- You must submit all waivers online. If you do not, we can not drive with your child, and a late cancelation fee will be applied.
- The $200 non-refundable deposit secures the seat for the student of the class dates that were selected upon registration. If the student needs to change to a different class, we require a notice of 3 business days prior to class start date. Any notice given less then 3 business days prior to class start time, there will be a $50 classroom dates transfer fee due at time of class change.
